The Term Assistant Professor of Social Work Field Director is a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track term faculty position at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The Field Director is responsible for managing both the administrative and teaching components of the field education within UAF’s fully online Social Work Program. This position will develop partnerships and articulation agreements with organizations statewide and nationally and maintain the field practicum manual. The position involves both teaching and service duties, encompassing 21 credits annually (typically 9 credits in Fall and 12 credits in Spring). As a key member of the program, the Field Director ensures field education courses meet accreditation standards, supports and advises students, and facilitates student placements with appropriate field supervisors. The role reports directly to the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, this position can be entirely remote (Alaska-based required) as the Social Work Program is 100% online.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program.
• 2-years, post MSW practice experience
• Experience in field education or student supervision.
• Knowledge of CSWE accreditation standards and EPAS requirements.
• Experience teaching/training
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is 9 month Term Faculty position with both, a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
