This position provides administrative and operational support, ensuring the smooth functioning of the Dean's office and the college as a whole. Typical responsibilities include managing the Dean's calendar, coordinating meetings and travel arrangements, preparing reports and presentations, and handling a variety of administrative and high-level executive tasks.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team to support the Dean's goals and objectives. To be successful in this position, the candidate should possess: strong organizational skills, excellent communication and customer care abilities, proactive approaches to problem-solving, and maintain and possess the highest level of confidentiality on all matters relating to the UAF CTC Dean's office.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in business; public administration; or organization theory and two years progressively responsible experience in executive administrative assisting. OR three years college coursework and three years progressively responsible experience in executive administrative assisting. OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Advanced degree preferred.
Demonstrated executive assistant experience acquired through progressively more responsible experience; typically 4 to 5 years is preferred.
A valid drivers license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving criteria is required.
Position Details:
This position is located on site at the main campus for the UAF Community and Technical College in downtown Fairbanks. This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt, term staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
