1. Understand Your Responsibilities
Clarify Expectations: Make sure you have a clear understanding of your job description. What tasks and responsibilities are expected of you? Are there deadlines or recurring tasks? If you're unclear, don’t hesitate to ask for clarification.
Be Proactive: Don’t wait for instructions on everything. Look for tasks that need attention, such as organizing materials, helping with student inquiries, or preparing resources for events.
2. Be Organized
Time Management: Balancing a student assistant role with your studies requires good time management. Create a schedule or to-do list to keep track of both academic and work responsibilities.
Keep Track of Deadlines: You may need to manage multiple tasks at once, so it's important to stay organized. Whether it's using a planner, an app, or sticky notes, ensure you're on top of deadlines and assignments.
3. Communicate Effectively
Clear Communication: Whether you're answering emails, interacting with students or faculty, or helping out with tasks, clear and professional communication is key. Always check your tone and make sure your messages are easy to understand.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicant should be enrolled as a UA student in a minimum of 6 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0, or a newly enrolled student.

Position Details:

This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks Alaska.
