Tool Room Assistant

UAA's Aviation Technology Division is seeking a Tool Room Assistant!

This position works for Aircraft Maintenance Technology and supports the Tool Room. This will include preparing materials for labs, issuing and returning tools, cleaning and organizing the Tool Room and lab areas. Information about consumable quantities and missing or damaged tools will be reported to the supervisor. This position will need to use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Applicant will need to interface with faculty, staff, and students. Applicant needs to be famililar with aircraft tools and hardware. Organizational skills are important.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must have successfully completed AMT 170.

This recruitment is open to undergraduate students only. 

To be eligible for student employment, an applicant must:
a. Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment;
or
b. Have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters;
and
c. Have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or approval from the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs or their designee.

Position Details:

This position is located in the Aviation Technology Complex at Merrill Field Airport. This is a Student Assistant 1 position. Pay is $10.97/hour.
