The University of Alaska Fairbanks, School of Education invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Secondary Education. The successful candidate will join a small, energetic, and culturally responsive department, teaching courses, supervising interns, and conducting research as a faculty member of our Secondary Teacher Preparation Program.

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate education courses in both online and in-person settings, advise and supervise secondary teacher candidates during field experiences in public schools, and collaborate closely with education faculty and advisors. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.

Preferred qualifications include college-level teaching experience and proficiency in digital learning tools and delivery.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate or Masters Degree in Education or related field.

A teaching certificate and at least three years of experience as a certified secondary classroom teacher in a public school setting.

Position Details:

This position is located on the Troth Yeddha campus in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a full-time, term-funded faculty position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
