Come join the UAA Recycling crew! Our student crew supports the UAA Recycling program by managing the bins throughout campus, to include emptying of bins on a schedule, maintaining bin inventory, sorting and delivering recyclables to the local drop destinations. This position pays $14.96 per hour!
Applicants must possess the ability work as part of a team, work independently, pay attention to detail, and follow directions. Strong time management and interpersonal communication skills are also required.
Must be self-motivated and willing to work in semi-harsh weather conditions with the capability of safely lifting 50 or more pounds. Repetitive lifting and movement is required.
Applicants must have a valid Alaska driver's license with a clean driving record.
No experience required. Previous experience related to a professional recycling program is beneficial.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be a current student at UAA enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours in current semester or have been enrolled in the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.

This position is located on the UAA Main campus in Anchorage. This is a part-time, student position complete with a competitive salary. New hires will be placed on the UA Student Salary Schedule, Grade SN, based on education and experience.
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
