Kenai Peninsula College (KPC) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to serve in a temporary role focused on the identification and recruitment of participants for the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP).

This position, which runs through December 2025, plays a critical role in promoting CAMP both on- and off-campus through extensive outreach efforts. The successful candidate will build and maintain relationships with prospective students and key stakeholders—including family members, school counselors, MEP administrators, tribal and community organizations—to identify and support eligible CAMP participants. Responsibilities include delivering engaging presentations, launching targeted communication campaigns via email, social media, and other platforms, and representing the program at events across Alaska and beyond.

In addition to outreach, the position involves counseling prospective students through the admissions process. This includes collecting and verifying eligibility documentation, providing guidance from inquiry to enrollment, and advocating to help students overcome barriers. Maintaining confidentiality and complying with FERPA regulations is essential, as is adherence to university policies and the secure handling of student records.

Under the supervision of the CAMP Director and in collaboration with the CAMP Coordinator, the candidate will assist in recruitment planning by coordinating travel and contributing to the development of outreach materials. Travel is a significant component of this position, and the ability to visit remote locations, sometimes under challenging conditions, is required. Evening and weekend work may occasionally be necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and presentation skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and have the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of KPC and UAA systems, admissions procedures, and degree programs. A background that includes experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, marketing, customer service, or education is highly desirable, as is prior multicultural or rural Alaskan work experience. An associate degree or equivalent experience in an educational or recruitment setting is required. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria are also mandatory.

This is a valuable opportunity for a motivated professional to make a lasting impact on students’ academic journeys while gaining meaningful experience in higher education recruitment and student services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates Degree in any discipline or equivalent of experience in an educational setting and/or recruiting.

A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required: https://www.alaska.edu/risksafety/download/TransportationSafety.pdf
