Are you a friendly KPC student looking for a flexible campus job? Join us as a Learning Center Receptionist! You’ll help keep our office running smoothly and make everyone feel welcome.

This is a Learning Center Student Receptionist Student Assistant Level 1, Step 20, $15.06/hour position at the Kenai River Campus in Soldotna, AK. The position is for up to 20 hours/week during Spring 2026 semester. 

The successful candidate must be reliable and punctual, demonstrate professional reception and phone etiquette, and possess strong customer service skills. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Greet visitors and answer phones with a smile
  • Take messages and share info with staff and students
  • Answer questions or direct folks to the right person
  • Help with flyers, newsletters, and event materials (proofreading and basic design)
  • Keep our files and records organized
  • Operate and troubleshoot office gadgets (copiers, printers, etc.)
  • Pitch in with other simple office tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

To be eligible for student employment, an applicant must have the following requisites:

1) They must be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment;

2) Have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA);

3) Student enrolled in non-traditional programs of study will be considered eligible for student employment with the approval of the Senior Student Services officer. An applicant must provide evidence of enrollment as outlined above to substantiate employment eligibility.

Position Details:

This is a Student Assistant Level 1 Step 20 position, with a starting salary of $15.06/hr at KPC. This position is for up to 20 hours per week, between the hours of 9:00-5:00 Monday - Friday and will work around your class schedule.
