The UAF Center for Teaching and Learning seeks an Instructional Designer to join our creative, dynamic, and highly collaborative team. As a Course and Program Manager, you will work closely with UAF instructors to develop high-quality, interactive online courses across various disciplines.

In this role, you will collaborate with faculty and department chairs to customize online course delivery, fostering creativity and finding solutions to online education challenges. You'll manage projects, supervise instructional design staff, and ensure high-quality online learning experiences through consultation and support. Responsibilities include conducting outreach to build strong institutional relationships, staying current with educational technologies, and maintaining comprehensive project records.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field and five years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, preferably in a leadership or supervisory position within a higher education institutional context. Experience teaching at the post-secondary level, preferably some online.

Position Details:

This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 81, based on education and experience.
