The Scholarship & Outreach Manager in the UAF Financial Aid Office oversees the administration of NCAA athletic scholarships along with more than 500 institutional and donor-funded scholarships. This role also manages all financial aid advising and outreach activities, ensuring that students and families receive accurate information and guidance throughout the financial aid process. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, institutional, and NCAA regulations while coordinating with coaches, donors, and campus partners to support student success. Key duties include managing scholarship awarding and disbursement processes, maintaining accurate records, monitoring eligibility, and leading outreach efforts to promote financial literacy and access. Through careful oversight and collaboration, the Scholarship Manager helps maximize funding opportunities for students while upholding the integrity of UAF’s financial aid and scholarship programs.

To be successful as Scholarship Manager, an individual should possess strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience managing complex programs and high volumes of awards. Experience in or a willingness to earn a deep understanding of federal financial aid regulations, NCAA compliance requirements, and institutional scholarship policies is essential. The role also requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively advise students and families, collaborate with campus partners, and build relationships with donors. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency with financial aid systems and data management tools are critical to ensuring accuracy and compliance. Experience in financial aid, student services, or higher education administration will provide a strong foundation for success in this role.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in relevant field, Financial Aid Credentials or an equivalent required

Position Details:

This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 81, based on education and experience.
