As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, Marketing, Logistics, and Business Analytics, you will teach and mentor students in Marketing at both undergraduate and graduate levels. You will shape innovative marketing curricula in Alaska’s unique business landscape and conduct research, while also contributing to the university and community through service. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely related field and demonstrate expertise in areas such as Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing Analytics, Marketing Management, or Applications of New and Emerging Technology in Marketing.

The Assistant Professor of Marketing is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position in the Management, Marketing, Logistics, and Business Analytics Department at the University of Alaska Anchorage. This role includes responsibilities in (1) teaching, (2) research, and (3) providing professional service to the university, the profession/discipline, and the community. The standard teaching load is three courses per semester, beginning in August 2026.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Marketing or a closely related field and demonstrate expertise in areas such as Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing Analytics, Marketing Management, or Applications of New and Emerging Technology in Marketing.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ph.D. degree in Marketing from an AACSB-accredited institution at the time of employment.
• Demonstrated evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate level or relevant training experience in a professional business setting.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage in Anchorage, Alaska. Applicants must be able to relocate to Anchorage, Alaska by the position start date. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure track, faculty position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. Faculty salaries are based on a variety of factors, including education and experience.
