As an extended campus of UAA, Mat-Su College is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Student Services team as an Enrollment Specialist.
The Enrollment Specialist serves as a key member of the Student Services team, providing exceptional support to prospective and current students throughout their educational journey. As one of the first points of contact for students, families, and community members, this position delivers front-line customer service, assists with admissions and enrollment processes, maintains student records, and connects students with campus resources and services. The role also provides administrative support to Student Services leadership while ensuring the accurate, professional, and confidential handling of student information.
This position plays an integral role in supporting Student Services operations, student engagement initiatives, and campus-wide events, including recruitment activities, campus tours, new student orientation, commencement, and other special programs. The Enrollment Specialist coordinates communications, assists with event planning and logistics, manages office procedures and records, and supports purchasing and fiscal processes. Serving as a key resource for prospective and current students, the Enrollment Specialist provides accurate information and guidance regarding admissions, enrollment, academic programs, financial aid, advising, and a variety of student support services. Through these efforts, the position contributes to a welcoming, student-centered environment and supports student success from initial inquiry through completion.

They are comfortable working with diverse populations and can communicate effectively and professionally in person, by phone, email, and other communication platforms. They possess strong customer service, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to learn new technologies, processes, and university systems.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can successfully manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:
One year college coursework in a related field and one year relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Matanuska-Susitna College in Palmer, Alaska. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 76, based on education and experience.
