The College of Health is seeking applications for an Associate Director of Health Professions Continuing Studies

The Alaska Center for Rural Health's (ACRH) mission is to help strengthen systems to deliver comprehensive and culturally relevant health care to rural Alaskans. ACRH serves all aspects of Alaska's rural health system: hospitals and clinics, tribal and non-tribal, physical and behavioral health disciplines, as we all struggle to address our state's health delivery challenges. ACRH is home to Alaska's Area Health Education Center (AHEC) Program Office. The AHEC is a statewide university-industry partnership, focused on strengthening and diversifying our health workforce. Alaska has 6 regional AHECs hosted by industry partners, which work closely to address 3 goal areas:

1. Engaging Alaskans in to Health Careers

2. Exposing Health Programs Students to providing care in rural communities and to underserved populations

3. Retaining Alaska's current health workforce by increasing access to high-quality, evidence-based continuing education

The Associate Director of Health Professions Continuing Studies is responsible for the development and production of all Continuing Studies programs. This responsibility includes oversight of all team functions, budget oversight and management, program marketing, coordination of evaluation efforts, program structure, expansion, development, improvement, and oversight.

Minimum Qualifications:

Successful candidate must have a Master's degree in a related field with seven years of health or education-related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, term-funded, 12-month, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 82, based on education and experience.
