Term Assistant Professor of Forest Ecology

This position is for a Term faculty position with UAF's Natural Resources and Environment Department within the College of Natural Science and Mathematics. It is tripartite with a 50% split with the Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Extension.

The ideal candidate would have prior experience teaching; experience or potential in mentoring and advising undergraduate and graduate
students; experience or demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population and to contribute to the diversity and inclusion goals of the University; relevant research or work experience to
Alaska; and an awareness of contemporary natural resources, cultural and social issues and
environmental change in Alaska. Experience with course creation is highly desirable.

Minimum Qualifications:
PhD or terminal degree in Natural Resources, Ecology, Environmental Science, Geography or related field

Position Details:

This position is located on the Troth Yeddha’ campus in Fairbanks, AK. This is a full-time, 9-month base appointment, FLSA exempt faculty position complete with a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
