Project ECHO at the UAA Center for Human Development (CHD) works with a wide variety of UAA and community partners to build communities of practice which address issues impacting the health and wellness of Alaskans. CHD is seeking applications for a temporary Project ECHO Coordinator. Flexible, hybrid, schedule with two days (Monday/Wednesday) in office. Project deliverables may require scheduled, early 8:00am starts one-two days a month. This temporary position is through June 30, 2025 and is not expected to continue past that date.

Housed in the UAA College of Health, CHD is a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities in Education, Research, and Service (UCEDD). It has 4 major functions:

• Interdisciplinary education
• Community training and technical assistance
• Research
• Information dissemination

These activities are designed to increase the independence, productivity, and community integration and inclusion for individuals with disabilities. CHD’s projects and activities are not limited to developmental disabilities; they focus on a wide range of disabilities, ages, and issues. This position supports the implementation and expansion of Project ECHO networks statewide. ECHO is an evidence-based model that connects health providers and professionals in underserved rural and urban communities to expert interdisciplinary teams, through videoconferencing, to increase their capacity to provide services within their own practice.

ECHO Coordinators work with a wide variety of UAA and community partners to build communities of practice which address issues impacting the health and wellness of Alaskans. To thrive in this role successful applicants should have multifaceted project management skills, including the ability to facilitate large Zoom gatherings, excellent communication skills, an interest in marketing, and adaptability to evolving project deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and one year experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage. This position is a full-time, non-exempt temporary position. New hires will be placed on the Temporary Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
