The UAS admissions, registration, and financial aid office is seeking a Student Information Specialist. This position is the first point of contact for the Office of the Registrar, Admissions office, and Financial Aid (One Stop Shop).

To thrive in this role, you must enjoy working with people and provide the best customer service to our students and the community whether it is by phone, in person, or writing. The applicant must have the skill set to communicate effectively, problem-solve, and learn to diffuse difficult situations. 

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong communication and customer service skills in order to thrive in a fast-paced university environment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of university policies, the ability to retain and apply detailed information, and experience handling confidential matters. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and team collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to recommend process improvements. Proficiency in office equipment and experience managing difficult situations with professionalism are highly valued.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska Southeast campus in Juneau. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
