The psychological associate will join an exciting practice that integrates medical care and mental health services in the heart of interior Alaska. SHCC serves a vibrant and diverse student body—including strong representation from Alaska Native, rural, non-traditional, and international populations. The SHCC delivers accessible, confidential, and culturally affirming care through individual psychotherapy, psycho-educational assessment, crisis stabilization, and campus-wide outreach. By combining multidisciplinary healthcare with early intervention and wellness education, the SHCC supports student resilience, academic achievement, and holistic well-being throughout the academic journey.

To thrive at UAF, a psychological associate must bring clinical adaptability, cultural responsiveness, and strong crisis stabilization skills to serve a diverse student body—including Alaska Native, rural, non-traditional, and international populations. Success here requires moving seamlessly between individual psychotherapy, high-acuity crisis management, and comprehensive psychological testing, all while fostering strong collaborative relationships across campus. Given the distinct rhythms and seasonal demands of living and working in Interior Alaska, the ideal candidate demonstrates personal resilience, professional flexibility, and a deep commitment to student wellness and community integration.
