A typical day: Allied Health Program Support Specialists provide students, Program Directors, and staff with administrative support. They are the first point of contact for students and faculty. They provide initial program information by phone and email, direct students to appropriate faculty, track student and program information, and process paperwork prior to university deadlines. They also assist with event planning, office inventories, distributing program supplies, schedule meetings and take notes, and communicate student concerns to faculty. They schedule classes, reserve rooms, and assist our eight Program Directors with a variety of other duties.

They converse professionally face to face and in writing, are skilled in customer service, value office administration, and easily take direction from others. Most importantly, they understand we are training the next generation of Health Care workers.

We’re looking for someone who can confidently operate and troubleshoot office equipment, while also bringing strong interpersonal and customer service skills to the team. You’ll need to be great with communication—whether it’s over the phone, electronically, or in writing—and have a solid grasp of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

In this role, you’ll be trusted with discretion, confidentiality, and independent judgment. You’ll be organizing, filing, and tracking information, so attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines is key. You'll also work well both independently and as part of a team.

Experience with data entry, editing, and report creation is important, and we’ll rely on you to gather and organize data for management.

Problem-solving comes naturally to you, and you’ll use those skills to independently resolve operational challenges. Internet research, organizational skills, and time management are essential, especially when working under pressure. If you can take initiative with minimal supervision, handle minor repairs, and keep things running smoothly, we want you on our team!
