Program Administrative Coordinator

The UAF Community & Technical College is seeking energetic a detail-oriented Program Administrative Coordinator to support its diverse academic programs and student services. With more than 50 certificate, occupational endorsement, and associate degree programs, CTC is committed to preparing workforce-ready graduates and serving Interior Alaska through community-driven education. The position is central to supporting students, faculty, and staff while ensuring smooth program operations and high-quality service.

Program Administrative Coordinators serve as a key resource for one or more academic programs at UAF Community and Technical College. This position provides comprehensive administrative and operational support by coordinating program activities, assisting faculty, supporting students, managing budgets and purchasing processes, maintaining records, and helping ensure programs meet academic, operational, and compliance needs. Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, campus partners, and community organizations, Program Administrative Coordinators play an essential role in creating an organized and supportive environment where students and programs can succeed.

This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing competing priorities while providing excellent service to students, faculty, staff, and community partners. Strong organizational skills, effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and navigate multiple systems are essential for success.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree and two years progressively responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Experience):

Experience working within a college or university setting.

Experience working with rural Alaskan students and/or in student services.

Knowledge of and sensitivity to diverse student cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.

Position Details:

This position works on-site within our Community and Technical College Fairbanks campus. This is a 10-month, full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
