This key position supports the effective operation of the library by ensuring the smooth operation of circulation services, facilitating the flow of materials between the library and other libraries, providing reference assistance to library patrons, and assisting with collection maintenance projects.

The ideal candidate is someone with previous library work experience in circulations, reference, and/or interlibrary loans who enjoys working with people. Tact and strong interpersonal skills are necessary. Previous experience with Sirsi Workflows, CLC, WorldShare, database searching, and inter-library courier system operations is desirable.

Minimum Qualifications:

Two year degree and two years of full time library work OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the Matanuska-Susitna College campus in Palmer, Alaska. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 76, based on education and experience.
