This is a pooled position for the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources and Extension and includes temporary positions available for various departments. The departments may or may not be hiring at this time but will be reviewing the applicants in this pool when needed.

This temporary technician position offers an opportunity to join our dynamic department, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting day-to-day operations. You'll assist with various administrative tasks, research tasks and ensuring seamless workflow and contributing to our team's overall efficiency and success.

To thrive in this role, the applicant should possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and customers. Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accuracy in tasks such as data entry or inventory management. Additionally, a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment will ensure success in meeting deadlines and achieving team goals. Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills are also key, as they contribute to maintaining high standards of performance and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one
Adequate abilities to perform duties as they are assigned.

Position Details:

This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks Alaska. This is a part-time, non-exempt temporary staff position. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 73, based on education and experience.This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
