This is a temporary role, anticipated to last three to six months, with the possibility of extension depending on department needs. The position is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

We are seeking a positive, productive professional to administratively support faculty and staff governance groups in our university. You will be supporting the Faculty Senate leadership, Staff Council leadership and the Chancellor's Office in a variety of committees and projects. This position is primarily administrative in nature and reports to the Chancellor or the Chancellor's delegate. The position requires attending Faculty Senate meetings, Staff Council meetings and numerous committee meetings to record actions taken and create and maintain related records.

The person in this position should have the ability to multitask, be highly organized, and enjoy supporting/working with a wide range of people, The person must have the ability to maintain confidentiality where appropriate, be communicative and cooperative with others, and be proactive and self-motivated in attending to the work of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

- High School graduation or an Associate’s degree with three years of progressively responsible office/administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

This position is located at the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, temporary, non-exempt staff position.
