Are you interested in supporting Arctic research that is grounded in community priorities and real-world impact? The Alaska Coastal Cooperative (ACC) is seeking an organized and detail-oriented team member to support the financial, travel, and administrative operations that enable collaborative coastal research across Alaska. This position plays a key role in supporting a project focused on improving communication between scientists, rightsholders, and stakeholders, while advancing applied science, workforce development, and education activities within rural coastal communities. Successful candidates will be comfortable tracking finances across a diverse research team, coordinating and monitoring travel logistics, and maintaining accurate records with strong attention to detail. An enthusiasm for contributing to Indigenous coastal communities and supporting interdisciplinary Arctic research is essential. This position supports ACTION – Alaska Coastal Cooperative for Co-producing Transformative Ideas and Opportunities in the North, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), and offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing organization working to build more resilient coastal communities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and four years progressively responsible experience relevant to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience in fiscal management.

A minimum of four years of experience working in a professional office setting with finance experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.

Position Details:

This position is full-time, Grade 80, term-funded, exempt, 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, based on education and experience.
