The Porter will be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of all areas of the venue including the main floor, seating bowl, balcony, locker rooms, bathrooms, suites, etc. before, during, and after events.

This job requires reliability, punctuality, and regular attendance. Candidates must be able to work in a loud, fast-paced environment under varying conditions and be capable of lifting 50 lbs. without assistance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset, are essential. The role also demands the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods. Applicants should have an outgoing, friendly personality and be available to work flexible hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays. Safety precautions and guidelines must be followed at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Previous experience preferred, but is not required.

Position Details:

This position is located on the Anchorage campus at the Alaska Airlines Center. This is a part-time, non-exempt temporary position. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
