The College of Liberal Arts is looking for non-credit adjunct faculty. Adjunct positions are on a dates needed contract basis. This position is a temporary faculty position for research, approved course development, and other non-teaching, non-credit work. Duties include working on grants awarded through CLA, developing a course outline, syllabus, teaching materials, and tests as needed, or other duties for which you would be hired. Subject areas include but are not limited to: Anthropology, Art, Communication, English, Foreign Languages, Global Studies, History, Journalism, Justice, Linguistics, Music, Arctic and Northern Studies, Philosophy & Humanities, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Theatre & Film, and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.

This position is a temporary faculty position for research, approved course development, and other non-teaching, non-credit work.

The applicant should have the expertise and education required by the department to complete the work assigned.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:

Knowledge of accepted instruction methods

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Public speaking skills

Customer service skills

Specific abilities and knowledge to work on grants awarded through CLA

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree desired, Bachelor's degree or relevant training and or experience may be considered.

Position Details:

This is a part-time, temporary exempt position.  Pay will be based on grant budgets or department determination.  Depending on the position, hybrid and remote (within the United States) work arrangements may be considered.
