Kenai Peninsula College is seeking a dedicated and skilled Custodial Maintenance Service Worker to join our Facilities Services team in Soldotna. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. As a Custodial Maintenance Service Worker III, you will perform a blend of custodial duties, grounds maintenance, and general labor to support the operational efficiency and cleanliness of our facilities. Your work will help ensure that all campus spaces foster learning and community.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to receive feedback. Experience with commercial cleaning—such as sanitizing bathrooms, operating equipment like floor scrubbers and vacuums, and performing grounds tasks including snow removal and lawn care—is important. The role requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and adapt to flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. A proven record of trustworthiness and responsibility, as well as comfort working with chemicals and biohazards, is essential for contributing to a safe and organized facilities team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Certificate of Completion from technical school and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Applicant must possess a current, unrestricted Alaska driver's license or be able to obtain an unrestricted Alaska driver's license within 60 days of accepting the job. Position Details:

This position is located on the Kenai Peninsula College campus in Soldotna, AK. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. This position is a term-funded position and is reviewed annually for contract renewal at the University's discretion.
