The UAF Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking Alaska-licensed mental health professionals to join our dedicated team in delivering outstanding counseling and psychological services to UAF students. This position includes providing mental health services, care coordination, and case management. Additional opportunities include offering clinical supervision and training for interns and residents. The role also involves contributing to the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of health, safety, and wellness initiatives across the UAF campus community.
Applicants should have a strong understanding of confidentiality and professional ethics, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse environment. Experience in a college counseling setting, particularly as a clinical supervisor working with a diverse student body and a wide range of clinical concerns, is highly desirable.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited postsecondary institution and one year relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience; OR Doctorate in relevant field with clinical internship and one year relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Appropriate state licensure may be required. Certification in specialty area (i.e. ANCC or AANP) and a Federal DEA number for prescribing medications may be required.
Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or Clinical Mental Health Counseling (or equivalent degree) with an internship and two or more years of experience. Alaska licensure is required.
Position Details:
This is a full-time (22 pay period/10 month), exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 81, based on education and experience.
