The UAA College of Health (COH) is recruiting for an additional team member for the research administrators to support the college’s sponsored projects and to liaise with university central offices. We have an amazing group of principal investigators who are actively pursuing projects aimed at advancing the health and well-being of people and communities. We are seeking a research administrator who is excited to work as part of a team to guide our principal investigators through both pre award and post award technical processes with the ultimate goal of bringing these projects to fruition. We offer competitive benefits and professional development support, and we will consider remote work agreements.

The Research Administrators (RAs) in the College of Health Grant Hub serve as the primary point of contact for faculty and principal investigators (PIs) seeking support with externally funded research. RAs provide comprehensive, full-cycle research administration services—including both pre-award and post-award support—and act as the liaison between PIs, the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), and other university units.

Our goal is to ensure compliant, timely, and strategic support for faculty research and other sponsored activities funded by federal, state, and other agencies.

To thrive as a Research Administrator level I, the candidate will need to promote a positive research environment by effectively communicating with a diverse population; maintain exceptional organizational skills; have excellent time management skills; apply initiative and follow through with tasks or requests; and use critical thinking as projects pivot or assist in solving problems. Candidate with daily work in Excel and accounting experience, as well as the ability to analyze fiscal/financial information and research issues, will help the successful applicant in this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting and statistics and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
