We’re seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee office operations and manage key administrative tasks, including grant management. In this pivotal role, you’ll streamline processes, support staff, and assist in the successful administration of grants from application to closeout. You will also be responsible for overseeing certain aspects of budget management for the Kuskokwim Campus, to ensure compliance with university regulations.
The Business Office Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the CIS Kuskokwim Campus. This position is responsible for managing administrative services and office functions, including signature delegation for approved documents. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities that require attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate with various departments and stakeholders. This position is critical in supporting the campus’s operational efficiency and financial accountability while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
To thrive in the role as the Business Office Manager at the Kuskokwim campus, you'll need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of automated accounting systems and the ability to work with these systems and accounts. Experience with grant processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Have initiative and drive to strategically manage short- and long-term deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in applied Accounting or related field and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
An unrestricted Alaska driver’s license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving criteria is required.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Kuskokwim campus in Bethel, Alaska. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
