Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students.
Expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of the specialty.
The ability to work effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds is a must. Typical Experience:
Demonstrated expertise and documented industry experience in the area taught is required. Previous experience teaching at the secondary or post-secondary level in a Welding related program is preferred.
Required Education or Training:

Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students. Expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of the specific area taught. Associates Degree in a related field is preferred. A CWI/CWE Certificate is desirable for Welding teachers. The successful candidate will demonstrate the desire and ability to keep current with technology as applicable to the Welding and Nondestructive Testing Technology industry.

Salary Information:

Salary based on number of previous semesters teaching experience within the University of Alaska.

 This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
