To thrive in this role, you must know how to design, develop, and maintain responsive websites and web applications. You must collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring creative ideas to life. You must have experience to implement best practices in coding, security, and performance optimization. Also, you must ensure seamless integration with various web platforms and technologies and stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Web Developer with a strong portfolio and be proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies. The candidate will be familiar with front-end and back-end development frameworks, have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in a related field discipline or equivalent experience. Candidate has a minimum of two years experience working in web design, development, and/or maintenance.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska Southeast campus in Juneau, Alaska. This position can be remote from anywhere, but the selected candidate must be able to travel and be on campus up to 1-2x per year. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
