Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Excel, Adobe, and databases.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment.
  • Ability to enter data accurately.
  • Good people skills. Ability to greet the public cordially and tactfully. Ability to work with a diverse population - staff, faculty, vendors, and the public.
  • Attention to detail with good organizational skills.
  • Possess good grammar, spelling and typing skills.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to learn Procurement & Contract Services office policies and general structure.
Preferred Experience & Education:
  • Sufficient experience to perform the responsibilities of the position and to have acquired the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Experience working with the public.
  • Experience filing.
  • Familiarity with general office procedures and equipment.
  • Possess organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Excel.  Experience/knowledge of Adobe and databases, preferable.
Required Experience & Education:

Applicant should be enrolled as a UA student in a minimum of 6 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0, or a newly enrolled student.

Salary Information:

This is a part-time, temporary student assistant position up to 20 hours per week while school is in session.  Additional hours may be available during winter/summer breaks.  Starting pay rate is $11.34 per hour, DOE.
