This is a union represented position. The CT1 Building Maintenance Mechanic - Plumbing works in cooperation with other Crafts & Trades personnel to support the successful operations of the general services provided by Facilities Services Division of Maintenance. Under the supervision of the Plumbing Shop Service Manager, performs apprentice level maintenance work in performing minor repairs and maintenance on various plumbing systems at the University of Alaska Fairbanks facilities or provide assistance to fully qualified plumbers in the completion of more complex work.

For this job pool, we are actively recruiting for two Plumber positions in the CT1 or CT2 category.

Minimum Qualifications:

Apprentice level or other equivalent certification appropriate to the plumbing trade; with a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
