The International Arctic Research Center (IARC), University of Alaska Fairbanks, invites you to apply for the Fiscal Grants Coordinator position, an essential role for our dynamic business team. To Thrive in this role as a Fiscal Grants Coordinator you must possess:
Knowledge of methods of organization, research, and analysis, knowledge of computer information systems and applicable software and databases. Ability to comprehend written material and interpret and apply policies, rules, regulations and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups and to work successfully as a member of a team. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to organize and present facts and opinions and to exercise good judgement in analyzing situations and making decisions. Ability to lead or supervise staff or work teams, including planning and organizing work, and scheduling, training and directing and reviewing work of others as well as analyzing complex situations and make responsible decisions.
Working knowledge of UA systems, procedures, practices, and State of Alaska and Federal regulations relating to federal and state major programs. Proficient knowledge of interfacing software, including knowledge of reports and querying of data.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business or three (3) years college coursework and three years progressively more responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

ERP systems and/or technology-driven skillset and/or working knowledge of UA systems, procedures, practices.

Knowledge of grant management or relatable experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Fairbanks Alaska Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a full-time, regular, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
