The position requires a candidate with strong technical skills and experience in engineering, particularly in the use of engineering software such as SolidWorks or AutoDesk for designing aircraft parts. Additionally, the position demands compliance with ITAR regulations, so US citizenship is required. The role also requires fluency in English and the ability to travel both nationally and internationally, with extended trips (up to 30 days). A valid US Passport Book or the ability to obtain one within 3 months is necessary, as passport cards are not acceptable. The candidate must also be able to lift items greater than 40 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree and two years research experience at the postgraduate level in a field relevant to engineering or a related field and 2 years manned or unmanned aircraft experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Position Details:
This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks Alaska. This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 80, based on education and experience.
