Surplus Technician - UAA General Support Services
UAA General Support services Surplus & Relocation team is seeking a Surplus Technician to join our team at 30 hours/week (with benefits). The successful applicant must be highly dependable and will exhibit excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and knowledge of basic computer operations. This is a physical position requiring fairly constant movement, lifting, and bending. Primary duties are related to surplus and internal relocation, however cross training for Mailroom duties is also required, as is assistance as needed in the Copy & Print Center.

Post Doctoral Fellow
Please see the following opportunity for an NSF-funded postdoctoral position in the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, University of Alaska Fairbanks. The position is based in Juneau, Alaska with field research throughout Southeast Alaska. The selected applicant will work with an interdisciplinary team to conduct scholarly research on Apex Predators, Ecosystems, and Community Sustainability (APECS) in Coastal Alaska. The objective of this project is to document the role of apex predators and environmental drivers on changes in nearshore marine resources, ecosystems, and humans using an interdisciplinary approach that integrates ecological studies, traditional knowledge interviews, and ecosystem services quantification and valuation.
