The Applied Environmental Research Center (AERC) is currently recruiting for Student Interns to assist with a Department of Defense (DoD) Records Management project for Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER). Student Interns are responsible for working together with a team of students, researchers, staff, and faculty that are working to archive records for JBER as part of the military’s updating of their electronic systems database. Student Interns must be able to coordinate multiple documents for analysis on multiple bases from over a decade of records and review them to ensure that they are appropriately cataloged on the military’s website. They must be professional, reliable, and confidential, and able to carry out tasks with little to no supervision. This student staff position is 15-20 hours/week (up to 40hr/week in the summer) and starts at $12.77/hour.

In your capacity as a Student Intern, you will hold a pivotal position overseeing aspects of the records management operations. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of crucial tasks, such as coordinating records, interacting with base personnel, tracking records, and maintaining the military database.

Ensuring exceptional customer service for our clients and meeting military requirements is of utmost importance. Additionally, you will maintain a detailed record of your reviewed records, as well as task completion.
