Help Students Turn Their Past Into Progress – Join Our Transfer Credit Team!

Are you detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about helping students succeed? Join UAF’s dynamic Admissions team as a Transfer Credit Specialist! In this role, you’ll dig into transcripts from colleges across the globe, evaluate academic and non-traditional credits (like AP, CLEP, military service, and more), and help students get the credit they deserve. You’ll be a trusted resource for students, faculty, and staff—explaining transfer decisions and supporting the admissions process with a sharp eye and a student-first mindset.

We’re looking for someone with strong computer and communication skills, the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, and a background in student services or customer support. If you're organized, curious, and ready to make a real impact on the student experience, we’d love to hear from you!

To thrive in this role, you should bring strong computer skills in a Windows environment, along with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems, including relational database maintenance. A keen eye for detail and accurate data entry practices are essential, as is a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Effective oral and written communication skills will support your interactions with students, staff, and faculty, especially in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Success in this position also requires the ability to adapt to changing policies and procedures, solve problems efficiently, and balance multiple priorities.

A minimum of two years of experience working in postsecondary education student services or an equivalent customer service environment is required. Experience in analyzing and solving problems, multi-tasking, working independently, and collaborating as part of a team is essential, as is proficiency with computer systems and data entry.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree and two or more years of relevant experience in a postsecondary education student services or customer service environment, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. Bachelor degree preferred.
