The University of Alaska (UAF) Interior Alaska Campus (IAC) in Fairbanks, Alaska is hiring a full-time term English faculty member. IAC
provides higher education to rural Alaska communities in Interior Alaska with significant Alaska Native populations.
This position is housed in Fairbanks and provides instruction in developmental and lower division college courses primarily through distance technology (Canvas, Blackboard, Zoom, etc.), as well as short-term intensive courses. The schedule will include evening courses.

The faculty member will develop or modify the curriculum as needed. Course materials must include Indigenous literature. They will provide advising and support for students.

This is a collaborative position that includes support from other IAC team members who provide tutoring and enhanced student services.
The faculty member will work with other developmental faculty at UAF to assess program needs and design courses and systems that
promote student success.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in English, English Education, or related field with appropriate teaching experience.

Preferred Education and Training:
Experience teaching at the college level
Knowledge of and ability to use distance delivery technology for instruction
Demonstrated ability to work with non-traditional students and diverse populations

Position Details:

This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks, Alaska. This is a full-time, term-funded, 9-month faculty position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package.
