Provide general information, research, and technology assistance to UAA/APU students, staff, faculty and community members in-person and via chat/text, email, Zoom, and phone. Refer advanced questions to librarians or subject specialists.
Report service-related data using transaction tracking software.
Assist librarians with projects and tasks that may relate to information literacy, collection development, assessment, data/statistics, LibGuides/web services, outreach/marketing, etc., according to the needs of the Instruction and Research Services department.
Maintain familiarity with Library and University information, services, and policies to include emergency procedures in order to provide the best possible service to library patrons.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: • Excellent customer service skills.• Bachelor’s degree in any field and one year of experience in a relevant field (e.g. libraries, museums, information services, etc.) (or an equivalent combination of training and experience) are required.
• Experience providing customer service or reference services.
Salary Information:$22.36/hour.
This is a part-time, temporary staff position. Temporary professionals work up to 14 hours per week, depending on department needs and candidate availability, and work under minimal supervision.
