Join the Student Engagement & Inclusion (SEI) department at UAA as a Graphic and Publicity Services (GPS) Designer. Our dynamic team is dedicated to fostering student engagement through innovative leadership opportunities, enhancing the campus community, and improving student success and retention. As a GPS Designer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling visual marketing materials that capture the spirit of UAA and promote key events such as Campus Kickoff, Homecoming, and Winterfest.

GPS is integral to the Student Activities and SEI departments, creating impactful visual content for various university events. In this role, you will collaborate closely with both departments to design and produce marketing materials that resonate with our diverse student body. Additionally, you will manage the production and maintenance of printing materials, ensuring all resources are effectively utilized to support event success. This position offers a creative and collaborative environment where your skills will directly enhance student life and engagement at UAA.

Minimum Qualifications:

The applicant should possess a robust blend of creative and organizational skills, reinforced by practical experience and formal education in art, graphic design, and marketing. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise with the Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere, alongside experience managing databases. The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong capabilities in prioritizing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.

Position Details:

This is a part-time, non-exempt, temporary staff position. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience. 30 hours average per week although 40 hours possible depending on ongoing projects.

This position is a hybrid work position, allowing work from home. Printing, when needed based on projects must be done in person on campus.

This is a pooled position, applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until a successful candidate is identified.
