Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of accepted instruction methods. Outstanding ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong public speaking and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and administration within a diverse rural campus community. Preferred Experience & Education:
University, community or technical college teaching experience is preferred. At least two-year's experience is strongly preferred. Experience teaching traditional campus-based courses and distance education (eLearning) in rural communities is strongly preferred.

Adjunct instructors must live in Alaska, preferably on Kodiak Island.
Required Experience & Education:

Bachelor's degree/Master's degree (discipline dependent) in a field related to the position, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience depending on the discipline. Applicants must meet faculty guidelines for the appropriate department at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) to teach for Kodiak College, a community campus of UAA.

Salary Information:

This is a part time, adjunct represented temporary position. New hires will be placed on the adjunct salary schedule as outlined in the UNAD CBA.

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year. 

This is an at-will, union represented adjunct position, and may be canceled based upon the needs of the university.
