Multiple departments within IARC may be hiring from this pool during the year, and duties assigned will vary depending on the specific department’s needs.

IARC was established in 1999 as a cooperative research institute supported by both U.S. and Japanese governments. It serves as a focal point of excellence for international collaboration and provides the Arctic research community with an unprecedented opportunity to share knowledge about science in the Arctic, with an emphasis on global climate change research. IARC's mission is to foster Arctic research in an international setting to help the nation and the international community to understand, prepare for, and adapt to the Pan-Arctic impacts of climate change.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities are dependent upon the position being recruited for.

All positions require at least a High School diploma or equivalent.

All positions require that candidates possess the following skills:

Required Education and Experience:

Education, training, licensing and/or certification is dependent upon the position. All positions require at least a High School diploma or equivalent. Additionally, the candidate must possess the appropriate training and/or education required for the position.

The level of experience is varied and is based on the position.
