This temporary custodial/maintenance service worker job posting is unique as multiple campuses within the College of Rural and Community Development may be hiring from this pool of applicants. The posting is designed to aid in filling an unexpected vacancy or an urgent need on a part-time or full-time, temporary basis. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: •Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. •Ability to write simple correspondence.
•Ability to work in a group setting including following instructions given by a Lead or Supervisor; relating in a positive manner to management and other employees; and assisting in providing a productive and safe work environment.
•Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
•Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
•Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Preferred Experience & Education:
Typical applicants have the following skills:

Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.

Interpersonal Skills:  Ability to work in a group setting including following instructions given by a Lead or Supervisor; relating in a positive manner to management and other employees; and assisting in providing a productive and safe work environment.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Salary Information:

This is a temporary staff position. New hires will be placed on the UA Craft and Trades Salary Table, Grade M1 based on education and experience.
