Ability to work 20 hours per week, some of which will be evenings and weekends.
Ideal candidates will have a genuine interest in student leadership development, campus involvement and volunteerism. They will also possess excellent organizational skills, computer skills and a desire to promote leadership, involvement and volunteer experience opportunities to fellow students.

Ability to give a favorable impression to the public in appearance and behavior; adapt to changes in workload; work independently with limited supervision and in cooperation with other employees; possess attention to detail/organizational skills, be able to multi-task and handle difficult/stressful situations with diplomacy and finesse; abide by all local and state laws and University regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Student employees at the Center for Student Engagement are expected to attend regular training and will be evaluated based on their performance on a semester basis. Applicant must be enrolled as a UA student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska campus in Fairbanks. This is a Student Assistant 2 position, minimum starting pay is $14.96 per hour. This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
