We’re looking for a Student Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional service across various communication channels, including in person, over the phone, and via email. If you have a strong sense of professionalism, great communication skills, and an eye for detail, this role might be perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to meet diverse needs effectively, using friendly and professional communication skills in person, over the phone, and by email.
  • Use clear and accurate verbal and written communication, with strong grammar and spelling.
  • Confidently use computer software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email, and other web-based applications. Experience with databases is a plus.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, completing projects by assigned deadlines.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively, with a positive, adaptable approach.
  • Handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
    • General office experience preferred
    • Customer service experience preferred
    • Cash handling experience preferred

Position Details:

This is an in-person position located on the Anchorage campus. Remote work is unavailable for this position.

Applicant must be enrolled as a UA student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student. This student staff position is 20 hours/week during the academic year with opportunities for up to 40 hours/week during the summer and starts at $11.34/hour. Candidates must be available to work between the hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
