As the RHS Program Administrator, you will manage the Rural Human Services Program at the Interior Alaska Campus (IAC) & Kuskokwim Campus (KuC), collaborating with community partners and various university departments. This role is vital for supporting our diverse student body and ensuring compliance with university policies and grant regulations. Our team is passionate and dedicated to addressing the unique challenges of rural Alaska, fostering a supportive and collaborative work culture.

To succeed, you should have strong organizational and management skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Effective communication with diverse stakeholders is essential, as is a keen attention to detail for managing budgets and grant compliance. Proficiency in digital tools and data management systems, along with a commitment to serving rural and Alaska Native communities, will enhance your effectiveness in this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related field and one year relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

An unrestricted Alaska driver’s license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving criteria is required. *Please clearly state in your cover letter that you meet this qualification.*

Position Details:

This position is located on the Kuskokwim campus in Bethel, AK. This is a full-time, 11-month, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
