Provost's Office Student Assistant

Under the direction of the Chief of Faculty Affairs and Services, the Student Assistant will work effectively within a team environment to provide departmental support and backup as needed. Key responsibilities include maintaining a confidential, comprehensive faculty database, organizing and maintaining academic files, and assisting with special projects.

• Assist in maintaining a confidential, comprehensive faculty database.
• Track, record, and retrieve data for organization into spreadsheets or reports.
• Organize and maintain academic files, including filing and retrieving records and reports.
• Create, develop, and maintain electronic documents, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Research and respond to requests for information.
• Provide computer or coordination support for special projects as necessary.
• Use initiative, creativity, and computer skills to produce professional documents.
• Assist in preparing documents and materials for presentations.

Qualifications:

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creative problem-solving skills.

Position Details:

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year. 

Pay starting at $15.75 an hour depending on experience.
