The Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Kodiak College is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication and outreach strategies to enhance the college's visibility, engage various stakeholders, and promote a positive image both internally and externally.

The ideal candidate will have experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role, with a strong background in social media, digital marketing, and content creation. Graphic design skills and event planning experience are essential.

Key qualifications include proficiency with social media platforms and knowledge of digital marketing trends, strong written and verbal communication skills, experience with graphic design tools and techniques, and event planning and coordination experience. Knowledge of higher education environments is a plus. We're looking for a collaborative team player eager to help shape impactful communications in a dynamic environment!

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field and one year relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Kodiak, Alaska. This is a full-time term-funded, 10-month, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
