This job will never be dull and never the same from day-to-day. It is an integral position for the Library team. This is a perfect job for a people person, one who enjoys interacting with other UA colleagues as well as the public and one with good attention to detail. It is also a perfect job for one who enjoys supporting college goals for student success.

This is a vital position for the Library where the ideal candidate will be helping with Library-wide administrative operations & working with various UAA departments. This position is the first point of contact in the Dean's Office for visitors and students. They will be expected to evaluate the nature of the issues, troubleshoot & resolve administrative issues that may arise, & be expected to work independently. This position will be responsible for scheduling the very popular Library conference rooms using the 25Live software. This position also maintains the building key distribution records and control for the Wolfcard access to the Library building. Additionally, this position will be responsible for reconciling ProCard expenditures as well as maintaining soft ledgers for expenses.

In order to thrive in this role, the applicant should possess excellent organizational skills, be adept at prioritizing work, have flexibility and patience in dealing with multiple schools & colleagues from other departments as well as the public and take pride in doing accurate work. Good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential as are demonstrable skills in the Microsoft Suite, DocuSign, Zoom, PaymentNet, Banner & Concur.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School graduation and three years progressively responsible office/administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the UAA campus in Anchorage, AK. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
